COMPOSITE PLATE GIRDER
VPL India is at present fabricating capacity of 7200 MT of Composite Girders annually . This has been enhanced to 10,000 Metric Ton using modern manufacturing machines and techniques. These composite girders are fabricated for road over bridges & Rail Bridges.

After completion of fabrication process shear connectors studs are welded on top of flange and after this girders are shot blasted, metalized and painted as per requirement.

OPEN WEB GIRDER
Open web girders are used for track bridges over valleys and large rivers. Standard length of open web girders in railways is 30.5, 45.7, 61.0 and 76.2 meters. VPL India possesses a team of highly qualified engineers for fabrication and erection of open web girder up to span length of 61.2 meters.
ROAD OVER BRIDGE
A road over bridge is a structure built to span physical obstacles such as a body of water, valley, or road, for the purpose of providing passage over the obstacle. Designs of bridges vary depending on the function of the bridge, the nature of the terrain where the bridge is constructed, the material used to make it and the funds available to build it. Indian Railways is constructing ROB,s on all manned & unmanned level crossings for smooth flow of road traffic and to avoid accidents due to human error.
FOOT OVER BRIDGE
A foot over bridge is a bridge designed for pedestrians and in some cases cyclists, animal traffic and horse riders, rather than vehicular traffic. In many developed countries, foot over bridge are both functional and can be beautiful works of art and sculpture. For poor rural communities in the developing world, a foot over bridge may be a community’s only access to medical clinics, schools and markets, which would otherwise be unreachable when rivers are too high to cross.
Simple suspension bridge designs have been developed to be sustainable and easily constructible in such rural areas using only local materials and lobar. VPL India undertakes projects of construction of foot over bridges involving both civil and steel structural work. Construction of foot over bridge involves fabrication and erection of steel structure. VPL India has constructed foot over bridge upto length of 120 meters for North Central Railways.
STEEL CHANNEL SLEEPERS
Steel channel sleepers are used on tracks which are passed through bridges over rivers. They are lightweight and dimensionally more accurate than wooden or concrete sleepers. Their multiple advantages including lower cost and durability compared to wooden sleepers make them an effective technical solution for modern rail network. VPL India specializes in fabrication M.S. steel channel sleeper in their state of the art and most modern in house galvanizing facility.

REHABILITATION OF BRIDGE
Under noted items of work are generally involved in Bridge Rehabilitation:

- Replacement of corroded members of bridges.
- Metalizing of steel members of bridges.
Metalizing is a substitute for painting structural steel that protects steel for decades longer than paint alone. This is a proven process, which has been used around the world for 90 years. Steel of every shape and size may be metalized either in-shop before construction or on-site instead of less effective repainting.
Metalizing is the most versatile and effective coating for protecting steel structures, such as bridges, available today. VPL India has done metalizing for areas up to 75000 sq meters.
Hot-dip galvanizing is a form of galvanization. It is the process of coating iron and steel fabricated item with a thin zinc layer, by passing the metal through a molten bath of zinc at a temperature of around 860 °F (460°C).
When exposed to the atmosphere, the pure zinc (Zn) reacts with oxygen (O2) to form zinc oxide (ZnO), which further reacts with carbon dioxide (CO2) to form zinc carbonate (ZnCO3), a usually dull grey, fairly strong material that stops further corrosion in many circumstances, protecting the steel below from the elements.
Galvanized steel is widely used in applications where rust resistance is needed, and can be identified by the crystallization patterning on the surface (often called a “spangle”). VPL India has galvanization facilities with furnace up to 6 meters.
